Zombees Honey of NC is a small family owned and operated apiary based in Timberlake, NC with additional yards in Hurdle Mills and Oxford, NC. Our products include local honey, beeswax candles, specialty creamed honeys, soaps, lotions, and jewelry. Honey glycerin soap doesn’t contain alcohol, fragrances, or other chemical-based ingredients (other than what is added by the honey) that could irritate your skin. This makes honey glycerin soap a great option for people with sensitive skin. Your skin’s natural oils are often stripped during the bathing process, whether from hot water or harsh products. Honey glycerin can help lock in your skin’s natural moisture and prevent over-drying.
This may be especially beneficial if you experience drying conditions like:

At the same time, honey glycerin is nongreasy. This means it’s a good choice for anyone with oily or combination skin.
Purple honey is a unique and rare honey found mainly in NC and along the borders in other states. It does not occur every year and the nectar source is a mystery. We do know thanks to research done by the NC Bee Lab in Raleigh that it is strictly created by the bees within the hive and isn’t something they have found and brought in.
Our beeswax is from NC beehives. Unlike our honey, we filter it several times in order to remove the excess debris and impurities. When beeswax is generated by the bees, it is a naturally white color. Pollen and honey in the hive mix with the wax and give it the yellow shade. Because this is a natural product, the color variations are not something we can control.
